Keep Scrolling

Dining

The whole hotel revolves around the various dining rooms, whether it be the delicious breakfasts, relaxing lunches or great dinners accompanied by a serious selection of wines, originally set up by the late Denis Hine and his particular friend, the late Bill Baker, and now overseen by son Giles and Local Wine Merchant, Andrew Goadby.

We are exceedingly proud of our Cellar, as we are of our Kitchen.  Both have won numerous awards, and are much loved by our guests from near and far. Talented new chef, Chris Exley has recently taken over the reins in the kitchen and is lifting standards and producing some delicious dishes, and delighting our guests.

Everything is made in the kitchen, from the canapes and breads to the petits fours,  and we use local and sustainable produce with the help of our loyal suppliers, many of whom we have dealt with for nearly thirty five years! You can also see our extensive wine list awarded by both the AA restaurant guide and the Good Food Guide.

Snug Bar

We built the Snug Bar in February 2015. There were numerous reasons for it: we needed more space, we wanted a more pub-like area where guests could just drink and maybe watch tv; an area where people could eat with their dogs; and a place for parties to gather.

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Teas have become amazingly popular in the past 5 years or so. We serve them 5 days a week from 3pm to 4:30pm in the Snug, Drawing Rooms, South Room and outside when the weather allows.

Unlike many hotels, we make all our jams, cakes, scones, tarts and possets on site.

Wine Cellar

Corse Lawn’s Winelist is very much a work of love. Some of our favourite times have been lunches and dinners sat in the company of Bill Baker, Mark Walford, Robin and Jason Yapp, Alan Goadby and Chris Piper. Needless to say numerous wines were tasted and discussed and we unashamedly only stock wines that we like.
