Leisure

Leisure facilities are pretty typical of a traditional Country House, with an indoor swimming pool (open from May to the end of September), a very good hard court tennis court, a rather amateur croquet lawn that produces a lot of fun, and games of badminton and table tennis, as well as leisurely walks around the grounds or even more leisurely eating around the pond – weather permitting. We do recommend that children are always supervised whilst they use these facilities.

All our leisure facilities are for residents only – there is no outside membership. This way we are able to operate a policy of first come first served. The tennis court, croquet lawn and table tennis are frankly under-used and the swimming pool is never crowded. However, this does mean that residents swim entirely at their own risk. There is no lifeguard and we suggest that you never swim alone. When empty the pool is locked but a key is always available from reception between 7.00am and 9.30pm.

Our helipad gets a lot of use, especially during the Cheltenham Festival race week. There are no charges to use it but we do ask that you notify us of your pending arrival, before you take off.
