3Saumur 2002 (Cave des Vignerons de Saumur) From the Loire Valley, this Cabernet Franc wine is big and powerful but not tannic 14.80
4Primitivo di Salento 2001 (Tenute San Marco) Effectively this is an Italian Zinfandel - a marvellous mixture of ripe flavour with a touch of spice 15.50
5gb51 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2001 (Grant Burge, South Australia) These classic French grape varieties are ideally suited to the very hot Australian climate. Big, strong and high in alcohol 4.20 16.20
6Anubis Malbec 2003 The grape Malbec originates from Bordeaux but is most successfully grown in Argentina where it produces wines with great fruit and yet little tannin 16.95
7Cotes du Rhone Villages, Ch. Courac Laudun 2001 (Arnaud) This is superior Cotes du Rhone (there are only 16 areas designated Villages) and is a blend of many grapes with Grenache and Syrah dominating. Good, full bodied mouthful 17.50
8Brouilly 2002 (Ch.Pave) High class Beaujolais from one of the more famous areas 20.80
9Alana Estate Tuapapa Pinot Noir 2002 New Zealand Pinot Noir is fast becoming all the rage - soft, ripe and absolutely delicious 23.70
10Ch. Tour Gessan 2000 Made in the Bordeaux commune St. Emilion, this is Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc. The result is often described as soft and feminine. It is certainly very classy wine 28.60
11Ch.Musar 1997 Stunning Cabernet Sauvignon/Cinsault blend with a world wide reputation, made in of all places Lebanon 15.7029.00
12Auxey Duressess les Ecusseaux 1993 (Ampeau) Not that well known a burgundy but absolutely delicious nonetheless and a great vintage too. In addition, Mon. Ampeau is a very fine winemaker 36.50

14Oppenheimer Krotenbrunnen 2003 (Muller) This is a full flavoured, complex wine from the Nahe region of Germany. If you like your wine medium then this is for you 3.407.2012.50
15Vin de Pays Charentais Chardonnay 2004 (Hauselmann) Found by Mr Hine's brother Jacques, we import this Chardonnay from near La Rochelle 3.407.2012.50
16Trivento Viognier 2004 From Argentina this is a dry wine with aromas of peach, apricots and melon. Particularly good with appetisers and fish dishes 13.50
17Weighbridge Chardonnay 2004 South Australia Aussie Chardonnay, if you like it, this is as good as any. Big and fruity 15.50
18Southbank Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2004 (Marlborough NZ) Wonderful elderflower, gooseberry fruit flavours with a dry finish. From the best part of New Zealand too 4.40 16.20
19Three Choirs Estate Reserve Bacchus 2004 Dry English wine made just up the road at Newent - very good 17.00
20C.V.N.E. Monopole Bianco 2001 This white Rioja has been barrel fermented in Amernican oak resulting in great oak characteristics. A good, fresh, dry wine made from Viura and Malvasia grapes 17.60
21Pinot Grigio Puiattino 2004 (Borgata) Italian wines are growing in popularity all the time and Pinot Grigio is at the forefront of this 18.35
22Petit Chablis 2001 (Brocard) Good, honest Chablis at a sensible price 10.3019.10
23Sancerre les Perriers 2003 (Vatan) Exceedingly good value Sancerre - I.e. fruity Sauvignon 21.30
24Chassagne Montrachet La Bergerie 2000 (Darvoit Perrin) Top class French Chardonnay. This is where France is better than the rest of the world 39.50
